My heater blower fan only works on speed 4, i've bought a new console switch cos some dude at a motor store said it was this causing the problem, no change. There's a little blue relay that apparently controlls speed 1 - 3 hidden behind the glove box, i've tried my mates as i knew his was working, no joy. Resistor pack is accessible from footwell of car. Remove 4 pin black plug on underside of blower. Then slide and pull out resistor pack. This £55 beauty has a thermal fuse across top terminals. First thing to have checked and confirmed is that it has gas in it, and the correct amount of gas too. The fault is probably water getting into the fan motor with the result that it will only work on max. Get the fan motor checked and check for water leaks from a badly fitted replacement windscreen or flooded bulkhead vent well. kISLs.
